About this guide
OpenClaw Guide is an independent publication that documents the open-source OpenClaw AI assistant. We are not affiliated with the OpenClaw Foundation, Peter Steinberger or any of the maintainers listed on GitHub.
What we cover
- Installation β desktop app, terminal installer, npm/pnpm/Bun paths, Docker, Podman, Nix, Ansible and Kubernetes.
- Configuration β onboarding wizards, model providers, channel setup, memory and skills.
- Integrations β WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Slack, iMessage and the local-first crawlers.
- Operations β updates, channels, doctor diagnostics, common failure modes.
How we test
Every command in every article is executed against the latest stable release in a clean virtual machine. If a command breaks we open a draft, fix the article, then publish. We link to the official docs and to source releases for every claim.
Editorial independence
Revenue on this site comes from advertising served by Google AdSense and from affiliate links where explicitly marked. Advertisers do not see articles in advance and do not influence what we publish. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled.
